St. Louis gets yet another splash of color in the already vibrant,
thriving art community with the opening of ABSTRAKT, a new art
gallery located in the heart of Benton Park.
ABSTRAKT is opening
its doors to Benton Park'ers on Friday, June 5th, offering an
exclusive opportunity to preview the gallery, meet its directors and
hear their vision prior to ABSTRAKT's grand opening on June 6th.
Free drinks and food
will be provided.
The featured artist,
Paco Rosic has received worldwide acclaim for his work including his
interpretation of the Sistine Chapel using a unique aerosol spray
technique. Rosic’s art has been displayed in galleries in Iowa, Los
Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Germany. A portion of the proceeds
for Paco Rosic's show will go toward the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society.
ABSTRAKT recognizes
this relationship by interconnecting people with art. A visual and
social experience will be offered where unique perceptions and
interpretations are encouraged. A portion of the proceeds from each
purchase of any given piece of art will be given to a selected
charity. While visitors walk away with lasting impressions, those
who purchase a piece of art will have the unique opportunity to have
a significant impact on the lives of others.
The gallery is
located near Anheuser-Busch Brewery on the corner of Arsenal Street
(1900) and Lemp Ave on the first floor next to Benton Park Café.
