music of the Bottoms Up Blues Gang in historic south side park

is scheduled to close out the summer on September 20th.

The Benton Park Neighborhood Association (BPNA) welcomes music
lovers of all ages to the second annual “Blues in Benton Park”
concert. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy the sultry music of the
band, Bottom Up Blues Gang in the setting of Benton Park. The BUBG
features vocalist/percussionist Kari Liston and guitarist/harmonica
player Jeremy Segel-Moss. BUBG offers a unique blend of originals
and well- known tunes in the styles of Delta Blues, R & B, Soul,
Jazz, and Blues influenced Rock & Roll.
Event coordinators responded to last year’s successful debut concert
by organizing this first concert of a two concert series for the
summer of ’09. The second concert of the year will be held on
Saturday, September 20th to close out the summer.

Blankets, lawn chairs, food and beverages are welcome at the event;
or enjoy one of the many eating establishments in and around the
area since food and beverages will not be sold at the concert. Bring
your family and friends and discover the Benton Park neighborhood.
The evening is sure to be a memorable one of great music; it is FREE
and open to the public.
The BPNA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations are
